Casa Sala, where everything began more than 100 years ago . . .
We invite you to visit a very special place for us: the farmhouse where Dolors Sala, co-founder of Freixenet and mother of our current honorary Chairman, Mr Josep Ferrer i Sala, grew up.
At the height of his career, Josep Ferrer wanted to restore his childhood home and the place where his parents produced the first bottle of Freixenet cava more than 100 years ago (1914). Currently, and in this place, he makes his most personal cava: the Casa Sala Gran Reserva, and personally offers the privilege of getting to know his private winery.
Visiting Casa Sala is living its history. . .
A visit to Casa Sala is a stroll through the past, a return to its origins and discovery of a tribute to those who made the birth of the Freixenet brand possible.
Casa Sala is located in Sant Quintí de Mediona. Once there, on Avinguda Montserrat (a tree-lined avenue) turn left onto Sant Joan roadway (first after Bar La Pedra and opposite Bar Chamayo).
Then, continue up until you reach Casa Sala.
